With over 36 years of experience successfully completing Bid-Build projects, Grascan has now established an integrated Design-Build Team which is currently successfully performing multiple major Design-Build Projects for Metrolinx and has the capability to meet and exceed the needs of critical Public Infrastructure Clients.
Our reputation and ability to complete time sensitive, complicated and unique civil projects has established our presence on numerous invited and prequalified railway and infrastructure projects. We have been invited to tender projects for public sector firms like Metrolinx (GO Transit), CN Railway, CP Rail, Toronto Waterfront Redevelopment Corporation, GTAA, York, Peel, Halton and Waterloo Regions and the City of Toronto.

2007
Grascan Construction Ltd. uses innovative gantry technologies to accelerate construction of the Dundas Street bridge over Sixteen Mile Creek in Oakville.
2010
Grascan Construction Ltd. undertakes construction on the largest bridge/extension over the Grand River in the Region of Waterloo.
2011
Grascan undertakes the West Toronto Diamond Rail to Rail Grade Separation, separating the only remaining at-grade crossing between CP and CN tracks in Canada to facilitate the UP Express airport rail link.
2012
Grascan continues to complete high profile contracts, commencing construction at Weston GO Station, one of only two UP Express stops between Union Station and Pearson Airport.
2013
Grascan increases its market presence, undertaking multiple projects for City of Toronto and Metrolinx.
2014
Grascan is awarded the Gardiner Expressway Re-decking from CNE to Grand Magazine, a $75,000,000 contract which is completed 3 months ahead of schedule and $2,000,000 under budget.
In 2014 Grascan is also named by Deloitte as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies!
2015
Grascan returns to its roots, undertaking 7 separate road and bridge construction Contracts with the City of Toronto and continuing work on multiple GO Stations for Metrolinx.
2016
Grascan demolished the York-Bay-Yonge “Hot Wheels” Gardiner Expressway off-ramp, constructs a new off-ramp at Lower Simcoe and reconstructs Harbour Street.
2017
Bring in “the closer”! Grascan carries out the Toronto York Spadina Subway completion services contract allowing the long-awaited subway extension to opened to the public.
2018
Grascan enters the world of design-build, securing the Early Stations Improvement project to upgrade over 30 commuter rail stations around the GTA for Metrolinx.
2019
Grascan is growing! While continuing to complete heavy infrastructure projects for long time Municipal clients, Grascan ramps up design-build activities with another Metrolinx Project, the Barrie Rail Corridor double track enabling works.
Grascan receives Gold Status from Deloitte as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies!
2020
Grascan weathers the COVID-19 Pandemic completing work on critical essential infrastructure projects for City of Toronto and Metrolinx.
2021
Grascan reaches Platinum Status! After continued growth and 7 years as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, Deloitte certifies Grascan Construction Ltd. as a Platinum Member of their Best Managed program.
