2023 - Gardiner Expressway Section 2 "GS2"
City of Toronto
The GS2 project involves the removal and replacement of an elevated section of the Gardiner Expressway from the West Abutment to Bent 35. Work was completed using a 3 stage approach to maintain 2 lanes of traffic during construction and through acceleration initiatives the travelled lanes of the Gardiner Expressway were re-opened to the public 8 months prior to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 1.5 years ahead of the original Contract completion date.

Grascan has developed an integrated Design/Build Team with the capability and ability to meet the needs of this growing infrastructure delivery model. With eight Professional Engineers, five Engineers-in-training, in-house design capabilities and experienced construction professionals our versatile team is equipped to deliver projects from preliminary design through to final construction completion.
