2010 - Fairway Road Extension from Pebble Creek Drive to Fountain and Kossuth Road
Regional Municipality of Waterloo
Grascan’s construction of the Fairway Road Extension over the Grand River involved launching two bridges with global innovative techniques from opposite sides of the river and connecting them at the centre without any impact to the river below. We used segmental travelers to launch cantilevered sections from each side of the river bank, minimizing all impact and disruption to the surrounding ecosystem. Grascan was awarded the Structural Design Innovation: Cast-In-Place Concrete, 2013 – Ontario Concrete Awards.
